The name and logo are already near the top of the NBA IMO.
I still can't believe the hate from the national media. While names like the Magic, Thunder, and Wizards are just awful.

The name on its own is pretty bad. Most people think of a cartoon Pelican not some hardcore gangsta bird shaking down tourists.

Its not as bad, but logos make everything great. You could have a name like gorillas but if your logo is some girly looking gorilla, what would be the point? Names aren't complete without a good logo (well most names).

I remember the thunder getting a lot of head. It is sorta the most generic name and uniform ever. Like the used a create your own team in a video game and just went with it.

Podium looks great. The name is still somewhat questionable (although it has really grown on me), but the logo is awesome and really brings the whole thing together.
A couple of days ago in another thread I mentioned that I though the Pelicans logo was in the top 5-10 in the NBA and I absolutely stand by that. (I also like the Bulls, Celtics, and yes Charlotte Hornets...I also really like the bridge logo for the Warriors, but I'm not sure how it relates to the nickname).

The uniforms really have the chance to put the entire brand over the top. If we get some sweet digs we are gonna sell a lot of gear and the entire Pelicans brand will catch on faster.
