I wouldn't consider Tim Mcgraw traditional country, he's more like some sort of pop rock with a twangy voice to give it country feel. OCMS is more of a hillbilly bullgrass something or nother

The only reason i may prefer Rucker's cover over OCMS is because of the woman backing vocal. She makes the difference

And the fact that Rucker's version has drums.

Maybe now. But not when he started out.

And I can't get that song he did with T-Swift out of my head. His part is good, and I would probably like it more if it was someone else singing her part.

Meh, with all the garbage being pumped out by Nashville recently, Rucker covering Wagon Wheel is near the bottom of my shite list. I'd be lying if I said I didn't like the song.

It's not as good as the original or other versions but it's a decent enough song. Nothing to get angry about. It annoys me when my music snob friends feign anger with his version and want to turn it off or whatever. It's not THAT bad.

As much as I like the OCMS version, I can't hit the button fast enough to change stations whenever the DR version comes on. He's created a nice niche for himself in country/pop music, but should have left this song alone.

FWIW, I saw a comment a while back referring to WW as the new Freebird (overplayed). I'd hate for it to get that way.

I like both versions. But I'm not a genre-douche either.

I think it's a good song. I could see why OCMS people might be jealous of the attention his version is getting.

It is that fat broad from Lady Antebellum. Makes me hate the song even more.

You know who that woman is doing the back vocals on Ruckers right.. Hillary Scott did the back vocals for him reason the other band member from Lady A is in the video.

This is America. If you don't like Darius Rucker you might as well GTFO.

Agreed. I mean it's a generally unnecessary remake but it's OK. It's just kind of there. Nothing to get upset about.
