Anyone else notice how often Ross hits it hard to center?

Seems like a couple times a game he hits a hard shot to the centerfielder. He caught some luck the other day against A&M and gapped one. But he really has hit the ball hard and right to the CF the last few weeks. I have a feeling those will fall more if we get to Omaha with that bigger park.

I feel like this is yet another weekly "Ross hits into so many hard outs, eventually they will fall" things

He has a way of showing up when needed, though.

He has hit about 4,384 balls harder than shite but right into the fielders gloves every time.

He smoked some balls tonight. Just seems like they always find gloves. He does have a knack for coming up big in the clutch though.

I hope he finds the holes...and soon.

Dean should try getting him to move his right front about 6-8" closer to the plate and see where he hits it in BP??

Thoughts?

When I played Legion ball umpteen yrs ago my coach had me do the opposite and step my rt foot out on an inside pitch and I was belting down left line consistently. Some batters this kinda shift works, some it F's em up and need to stay the way they normally stand in box.

I don't really feel like those balls to centerfield are hit that hard. They're never popped up but they're not smoked either.

What is smoked, in your opinion?

That is the hard thing about baseball. Many guys hit really well, but they just can't get the ball to drop in the right spots.

Ross will be good for some homeruns around regional time. Teams not familiar with him will see the average and give him some good pitches to hit.

he's been doing this for a while now. makes great contact alot of times right at people. then he will go a couple ABs and look foolish. He has raised his average 40 points slowly.

Random prediction: Ross will execute a clutch safety squeeze somewhere in the regional or supers.

I heard Ross seriously has a few screws loose. Anybody heard any crazy stories?
