The Vengeance was bad-arse!

The vengeance was cool. But the racial undertones were very apparent. Bigger, faster, stronger, black ship that runs on minimum wag...I mean crew. Picking on the little white ship.

also flying around in the most bad arse ship in the galaxy would probably make for pretty boring movies in the future if there's nobody that can defeat them
A powerful and near invincible hero requires a powerful and near invincible villain and that would equal awesomeness and a galaxy shattering fight. Think about it.

I was about to go in fanboy rage.
Next month's man of steel has a villain that's more than capable of taking Supes to the woodshed in General Zod. Kinda like what I was talking about after the first quote.

And who still won?

is this why Uhura had the worst lines?

Does make a good balance. Big black ship, Attractive black actress given a thankless role.

The cast's chemistry is what made TOS and in my opinion this cast is well on its way to doing the same. That was my biggest question mark going into the second movie.

Overall, I liked the film. The cast was great and I don't mind them using Khan. But, much of the last 30 minutes was predictable.

It was predictable because 2/3rds of it was some kind of almost shot for shot redo of Wrath of Khan

Sit back and be entertained and try to enjoy life once in a while.
I wasn't entertained by the first film - after Thor got killed, it was completely "meh".
I just don't have the time to waste on more of this.

Not at all - if something is good, I overlook minor, trifling flaws. When the characters are almost all wrong - I don't consider that fact minor or trifling.

Nobody in here is bitching about someone using the wrong dialect of klingon or some dipshit stuff like that, but there are real problems with this film at a fundamental level.

This, but also I wish they built another ship the same size as the Vengeance and called it the enterprise instead at the end of the movie. They really could do some damage in the third movie with a dreadnought class ship. I mean the enterprise is supposed to be the flagship of starfleet and it was absolutely dwarfed by another federation ship. That doesn't feel right to me.
Did you miss that whole speech at the end?
That other ship could only be a flagship of a military armada, not exploration.

Sentrius is either trolling or he has no idea what Star Trek is all about

my only question is does Kirk have Khan like superpowers now?
Posted on 5/21/13 at 9:58 am to Draconian Sanctions
But it does beg the question as to why Khan prime didn't use his blood to revive his wife.

It's entirely possible he wasn't aware.
He was probably given a battery of medical tests in the alternative timeline that revealed the regenerative ability.
He had advanced technology acess in the prime timeline for like a week.
Another possibility is that they did not have supplies for safe intravenous therapies.

What I wanna know is what was the admiral like in prime.
Lived out his days with warmongering blue balls?
