What?

Check their Basketball Reference pages. Paul's career and individual seasons show that he is clearly better.

I like CP3 but this board overvalues him big time
Most underreated NBA player on this board, easily.

Yeah, there's no other evidence than all stats and advanced performance metrics...

Don't get my wrong. I love CP3. He's a great player. Just from watching them head to head THIS YEAR. I'd give the slight edge to Parker. I'm talking strictly the 2013 season.

He's a good player, love watching him.

But man, the MSB overrates this guy more than any other player I can think of. He averaged 14/8/4 and shot under 50% from the field. Great defensive player. That doesn't get you near 3rd best in the league status.

Dwight Howard obviously not nearly 100% from injury was basically as good as Gasol, at worst. If Dwight comes back at 100% next season, he's better than Gasol by a solid margin.

just wanna lay the The ESPN truehoop tv convo on playoff MVP

if you also have the insider link go take a look at their ranks but I'll leave this snippet here
quote:

Gasol is not only one of the best bigs in basketball and one of the few elite defenders in the game -- he's now one of the top overall players in the world, too. His shooting and passing skills are unmatched by any center in the NBA, save possibly Kevin Love, who is more of a deep shooter. Gasol's rugged play in the paint on defense and the boards separates him from every other center in the league now. But it is Gasol's poise that jets him to the top of this list.

quote:

Gasol also plays with emotion, but as a true veteran who is totally in control of his mind. If the Grizzlies survive one more series, we could see an NBA Finals battle between the game's best player (LeBron) and the top big man.

I can't believe how bad this board under values CP like it does.
