Anyone been fishing Shell Beach Area...

LSUCouyon was supposed to fish down there today. I have not heard from him yet. I will report as soon as I hear something.

Put together a nice box down there last Tuesday. Had our limit (100) by 11:30. Caught the majority of them in a 30 minute window.

If you're going with a guide, I wouldn't worry too much.

Finally got word from LSUCouyon. 12 man limit of trout and lots of big reds, but they were in federal water so they couldn't keep them.
One boat limited on trout at 8:40.

If I could, i would send Pics, maybe you can. We had a ball. Our boat and one other had each a 4-man limit. The 3rd boat got screwed up with the big reds, but they had a ball and didn't limit on the trout. But they all caught several 25-35 lb reds. My boat caught about 5 and we were only about 40 yds apart. Strange to be all fishing with live shrimp and they couldn't catch any trout for the reds, and we limited there. I did not mention the 50-60 11.95" trout we threw back that hit like a 2 lb bass.Great trip. Charlie Thomason, Bayou Charters, Hopedale, La. great guide.

Had a friend end up with a 2 person limit of specks and a 1 person limit of reds last weekend.
