Braves Fans, Are You Getting Nervous About BJ Upton?

No troll, truly curious. I haven't watched any of the Braves this year but I try to check box scores regularly. He's got to be completely lost at the plate right now. On pace for about 220 K's. Obviusly, it's very early and the team is doing well but are you getting nervous about his performance, considering his $15 million a year pay day for the next 5 years?

not just yet, but he is following in Uggla's footsteps

One must wonder if the Braves signed BJ because they were trying to entice Justin?

Yes. He is completely lost right now.

BJ upton is, and always has been, a terrible hitter.
I don't see what the big deal is.

I can't figure out why he isn't hitting 8th.

This is true but 100 points off your career average a month and a half in would concern me as a fan.

Hes a career .250 hitter, and is way below that right now.

If this were interleague. I'd let Hudson hit and DH for Upton.
ETA--Actually, Hudson has a higher batting average than everyone else in the Braves lineup.

That's not true.

Not to mention, he's averaged 119 K's/yr in his career. He's 40% there now
ETA - I would have thought his k's would have been higher throughout his career.

Well that'd be dumb. Gattis would DH
And I'm not worried yet about BJ. I'm an optimist though.

I really think BJ will be okay. Will still probably finish this year around .200

He just got rung up on a pitch so far outside.

Agreed, I really don't see him finishing the season with an average like he currently has.
