I'd look for some local, North End Italian...something we missed. I'd consider asking local, maybe the concierge where you stay.

As for Union, it is what it is...a historic building and business...it at tracks people. The raw bar was great and the chowder was addicting.

I just came from Boston, the places mentioned are fine, but I found the italian food there to be my favorite. Take a cab to Hanover St, block after block of Italian restaurants and bakeries. I had a braised veal shank with white beans at Bricco that was one of the best dishes of my life.
