Allan Houston's is ridiculous because he had a max contract with the Knicks and barely played his last few years. He made $19M in 05-06 and didn't play a game that year. Here are the before/after stats on the max contract:
Before(1993-2001)
Salary - $37,869,000
$/Game - $62,080
$/Point - $3,795
After(2001-2006)
Salary - $79,687,500
$/Game - $347,980
$/Point - $17,426

I wonder how many nights Jordan sits around wishing he started his NBA career in the last few years?
Posted on 5/12/13 at 2:52 pm to LSUAlum2001
Not many, he rakes in the sponsorship money.

Jermaine O'Neal seems ridiculous.
In his prime, O'Neal was easily a top 3 player. Salary was right at the time. It just didn't work out.

He does, but he would blow past that mark set by Garnett and would probably be the first 500 million dollar career salary guy.

I do believe Michael Jordan makes around $38 million/year. Not a bad retirement.

Joe Johnson is surrounded by Hall of Famers on that list.

Easily top 3? Come on now.

Jermaine O'Neal is one of those guys that was underrated for such a long time that when everyone finally got around to start hyping him, he became overrated.

With the cap and luxury taxes? No way

Led the conference in double doubles, blocks, and the Pacers wouldn't even sniff the playoffs without him.
It's not like they gave him that ridiculous contract (around $21 million/year) for freaking nothing.

You were probably getting your braces when he was in his prime.

Never finished in the Top 10 in per in any season. Never
Top 3 players in the league find a way to sneak into that list at least once in their career
His peak coincided with players such as Shaq, A.I, Garnett, Duncan, T-Mac, Dirk, Kobe, and D-Wade. Hell Lebron was in the league during his peak
If you want to argue Top 10 player, that's one thing. But easily Top 3? No way.

Always either lead the league in double doubles and/or blocks, or at least in the top 3.
6 ECF appearances in 11 seasons.
