Stay-at-home parents should qualify for a new government program while they are raising young children
A "new government program"??? Government money comes out of my wallet, and I really don't feel like paying for others to procreate. Kristin needs to realize that it was more of an economical pinch that drove women to the workplace in the 70's, rather than being purely a feminist movement, which she referred to over and over again.
I'm all for decent family meals, but Ms. Wartman is off base if she thinks that I should pay her or anyone else to raise kids.

Good point. The irony is that Lucy, who does not cook at all and has never had a human child, considers herself a mom to our two dogs.
I always got her a mother's day card and signed it from the 'kids.'
But last night the 10 year old died from kidney failure at the Vet Emergency Center. This week I'll go to the 'no kill shelter' and check out a new child to adopt.

Sorry for ya'll's loss.
Good job going to the no kill shelter Zach.
And congrats on no kids. I don't know what's more impressive, chicken salad everyday or that.

I also want to applaud you for choosing adoption. Well played Sir.

Thanks. It helps that my golfing partner volunteers at the shelter one day a week. He's gonna give me some advice on the individual dogs' personalities.
I almost feel like a coach asking for a scouting report.

I cannot remember a finer day in my life than when I adopted/rescued my first pet. It led to years of sheer joy and fantastic memories.

Lucy lives the dream. A husband who wouldn't make her lift a finger, sweet dog babies, no children, and delicious chicken salad Sandwiches.
Chicken salad sandwiches are in my top 5 favorite foods. I love animals at an unhealthy level. And I don't want kids. She could be my mentor lol
