Here's the latest update:
Not much has changed. Still keeping him medically sedated. Here's a more thorough list of injuries: Small brain bleed, broken right femur, both left lower leg bones broke, shattered ankle, torn aorta and an injured spleen.
He's started to run a fever this afternoon so they're treating him with antibiotics. Surgery to put a stent in his aorta has been postponed till tomorrow due to the fever.
So tomorrow it should be surgery for the stent and then also for his legs. His wife, dad and father in law are there with him now. The rest of the family is home together.
Reports are that although sedated, he tried to punch a doctor earlier today when the doctor was examining him. One of my sis-in-laws took a quick video of his kids and a few neices and nephews all saying "I Love You" and sent it to his wife. She played it for him to hear and he started crying. He also started crying when his wife was talking to him earlier this afternoon. Good signs that brain function is good.
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. I ask that you continue to send them. Still have a long road to travel just to get him awake and alert.

Trooper,
We are praying, the doctors are doctoring and you are doing your duty to your family.
It's all gonna be ok. Just keep on doing your due diligence. It's not easy but sounds to me that things are well in hand. Keep on doing what you are doing.

Monday Morning Update:
He was just rolled into surgery to insert a stent at the tear in his aorta. If all goes well today they will perform surgery tomorrow on his broken legs and ankle.
Still sedated yet showing more and more signs of encouraging brain activity.
Please continue to pray for him, the family and the doctors...
Thank you all.

Good news, Trooper!
You been sleeping/eating? It's been a long few days for you. Don't forget to take care of yourself or you're no good to anyone.

Tuesday Morning Update (most of this happened late yesterday):
From my other Bro-in-Law who's been there a lot(he's a doctor):
They were able to extubate (remove ventilator tube) him this evening. He was fighting the therapist at first and I held his face and told him to open his eyes and he did and I asked if he recognized me and he shook his head yes. He was still a little combative so they gave him meds to calm him down.
From his Wife (last night also):
He has been opening his eyes!!!! This afternoon he was shaking his head yes and no to answer questions. He has been fighting the nurses and is in a good amount of pain. He is still pretty confused and because of that he is acting out so tonight they had to give him some more meds to calm him down and get rest. He was not aware of being in a motorcycle accident and got really upset when the nurse told him. He kept trying to get up and was pretty ticked that he couldn't!
Slowly we're seeing more and more encouraging signs.
Please continue to pray for him, our family and the doctors. We appreciate all the kind words, thoughts and prayers from everyone!
