No one will probably remember this show, but years ago NBC had a show named Kings that only ran for one season. It was based on the biblical story of David set in a modern era.

Great show. I was disappointed when it got cancelled but it was marketed horribly. If NBC would have played up the Biblical aspect more it would have had a much larger initial audience.

The idiotic marketing coupled with the constant timeslot changes, doomed it from the beginning.

I think they canceled it because it was costing too much right?

Yea. I want to say it was the most expensive show they had done - but I may be wrong on that.

I agree with a few of those already posted:
Rome (just imagine if that HBO series had the following it's new darling has! People would be eating up history books like crazy!)

Kings- I watched this from the beginning and thought it was done very well. Hated to learn it was cancelled after only a couple months, but when it started airing on Sat. night, you knew it was only a matter of time. . .

I would have enjoyed having at least a full season of Journeyman- thought it started slow, but was just starting to pick up steam when they cancelled it halfway through.

Terriers.

Only lasted one year, it's only 2 years off the air, so you could pick back up without a hitch, and no one has really moved on to a huge project.

it was also the best-written show on TV. Terrible marketing, which is kind of perfect for that show.

I would love Terriers to come back, but I doubt it has the groundswell love to convince FX to make it.

Since nobody has mentioned it yet...

Pushing Daisies.

Amazing cast (Chi McBride and Kristen Chenoweth in particular), cool plot, and some very intelligent writing

If i could continue right where it left off : "Dead like Me" (I'm going to ignore that terrible movie)

Otherwise Reaper or Pushing Daisies

Jericho.

But cut the abbreviated second season and keep the tone going from the first one.
