Took a nap on the ground while hunting at Red River, and woke up with an otter almost eyeball to eyeball. Not really strange, but I screamed like a bitch.

Manatee in Bayou Lafource at Raceland

Tarpon in Bauou Terrebonne at Montegut

2 leather back turtles withing 1 mile from each other south of Fourchon (not out of place just really cool. They were about 4' in diameter)

Dad killed a Golden Eye in Montegut, LA.

I had a big cuda follow us to our decompression stop on a dive. I would turn and it would be like 2 feet from me. That and a face to face with a 600# Goliath were amazing experiences.

If cudas are silver, they're calm, no worries. When they darken up and shown their stripes, give them space.

Cudas are always following above and behind you. I've never seem an aggressive one though (except for when you put a steel shaft through them )

I've seen a lot of 'cuda diving but I'm still waiting for a big one so I can get a nice skull mount.

I have the head of a 54# Cuda in my freezer right now. Need to get working on the skull mount

I think it was like Dec.30, 1998. Me and Ms Webfoot were deer hunting on a friends place near the Ms River in Concordia parish. I watched a full grown cougar crossing a large pipeline right of way. It was NOT black. It looked like it knew it had cross hairs on it! The thing was as close to the ground as it could get, looked VERY uncomfortable being in the open.

Well that is interesting, because I was the one in the deer stand watching that Coatimundi next to the bobcat. Was a surreal experience.

I had a trail camera out from after Christmas until a couple of weeks ago, but never got any photos of it / them.

Supposedly, someone had a pair as Exotics, and couldn't handle them and let them go in the wild.

Saw a 8 inch long turantula while hiking in northern Nevada. Either the maps of their native territory are wrong or somebody let their pet go.

Fell asleep in the stand one time to wake up with a coon trying to get my wallet out of my pocket. Thought it was pretty strange at the time.

Female moose in Colorado. My son and I turned a corner on a hike and it was basically staring us in the face. My son is an Eagle Scout and knows every animal and plant in the wild. He was scared shitless-so I decided I should be too. We backed out down the trail and went the other way. Never seen him that nervous on a hike.

Absolutely, they are possibly my favorite fish to dive with, although the Goliath was badass. Its lips looked like a cartoon character. Cudas are just so smooth and inquisitive. They seem pretty smart while fishing, too. Not like a cobia that will eat a baseball if you hit it with one.

There must be a May squirrel rut. I just saw 4 fox squirrels hauling arse across the same power line on Texas Avenue.
