OMG.Yahoo
Appears even Randy Jackson on the chopping block. Hopefully the people who brought the new judges in will also be chopped.

The judging was just awful this year in that it was a total echo chamber and the judges appeared to have their own agendas but with that said Candice is really good.

I do think the total 12 or so finalists were not very interesting and appeared to lack some genre diversity.

I think no one gives a frick about this show anymore and it needs to DIAF since the time has past for it to gracefully step aside.

What did they expect to happen when they started shuffling judges every year. People were obviously gonna lose interest.

The show needs to dies. That said, I heard Nikki Minaj maybe three times this season, and all three times she was talking about the contestant's outfit, attitude, or hair. Not once did I hear her say anything about actual musical abilities.

The producers were determined this year to break the streak of a white guy with a guitar winning.

I do think that this top 3 is very talented, but the top 10 as a whole was underwhelming.

4 judges on live TV is pointless. They literally just yap for way too long, and should be limited to 10 seconds or so each.

Let them give a quick opinion and move on. They can give their critical analysis after the show.

My wife and I watched the first round last night and shut it off.

This and its played out. For now.

Simon's new show bombed. Idol is bombing.

Idol should take a break for a year or two, and then come back with the original 3 judges and I guarantee it would get ratings.

It's gotta go away first though so people will miss it.

I'm guessing next year when there is no improvement Simon will come in and "save" the day...

Jimmy has been basically playing the "Simon" part and kept it somewhat interesting but I understand why he isn't on the panel of judges as he works with and mentor's the talent up to their performances each week.

It's on pretty much every fricking night of the week. You have to devote your entire TV watching time to watching that one shite show. My wife watches it and it seems it's always on.

In all honesty, I thought this show ended years ago. I'm surprised its lasted this long.

If you DVR it you can get a late start and fast forward through all the BS.

Well... they have found some of the most successful pop/ country talent the last 10yrs. Idol more likely won't be going anywhere soon if their success continues.

I agree. Dump the Jimmy angle. Have them continue to work with mentors. The 3 judges judge, the people vote. It seems like they have been trying to sway the votes. As much as I like Keith Urban as an artist, every judge sucks this year. Do the girls even judge anyone's singing? I haven't watched in weeks and my family and I were religious AI watchers.

Someone needs to take this show at back and shoot it in the head. It has gone on for far, far too long, like 7 seasons too long.

They will spend 7 seasons to find one Carrie Underwood or Kelly Clarkson. If they get a couple Daughtry's or Kelly Pickler's, that is a good reason to do another season.
