I turn my co worker on to some grillades and grits this weekend in the FQ, now he wants some for lunch today. I find it he buys it. Looking for something in Metairie/Uptown/Midcity areas.

Whats the mighty F&DB got?

Good? I was disappointed with the huevos rancheros there.

Never been but they have them and the place always has a line out the door on weekends.

Every breakfast spot uptown has a line on the weekends.

People rave about Elizabeth's grillades but I'm not a fan

Yeah it's fricking lame as shite. People waiting in line to eat bullshite $15 eggs benedict because it's oh hey they have $10 shitty champagne mimosas and a jazz trio!! .

Not for me. I'd rather eggs, bacon, grits, biscuit and a cup of coffee for $7.

Nothing better than a frosty cold rootbeer for breakfast.

Yummy.

Nope, maybe I'll try it out sometime soon though. Hopefully I don't clog an artery w/ all the grease.

No but thanks for the rec. I usually stick with Dot's, Blue Plate or Slim Goodies.

Sounds like Panola, as long as you get there before the line. 1, 2, 3 breakfast is like $4.

That's what I'm worried about. I need a quick place to grab breakfast on the weekends without standing in line.
