I just switched to the PET carboys after using my dads once. Literally I used his once and immediately went out and bought some the next day. Felt 100x safer than the glass ones. And they are like 23 dollars which who cares if you scratch them up, go buy another one. I used mine for the first time last week. Got tired of trying to cool down 10 gals with no ice, so I put the wort into the carboys at 120 degrees. No issues at all. I still am going to keep my glass ones just in case I need them, but dont plan on using them too often.

That's crazy.

Where did you get your better bottles? It seems like all of the LHBS only cary Glass and Buckets.
