He's taken his game to a new level this year. I'm not ready to call him a superstar yet but I think he'll eventually be one. I don't see how he didn't make the allstar game though.

Also, What are your standards to start considering a player a superstar?

Probably depends on your definition of a superstar

he already is IMO. the ability to take over a game and make the guys around you better is what makes you a superstar, and he does both.

+1 he's a superstar. He can go from 10 points to 40 in about 10 minutes. He can't carry a shite warriors team minus Lee past the spurs, but if he takes off for the grizz or the Knicks...he could turn those teams into an immediate contender

Now

For me, he has effectively filled the gap left by Brandon Roy.

Nah, he isn't there yet. I think you forget how good Roy was. Of course their games are a bit different with Curry being more of an outside shooter but the excitement they bring as guys that can just go off lighting it up is why I compare them. 2008-2010 Brandon Roy was awesome.

Closing out games would certainly help. The last few minutes of game 6 against the Nuggets was brutal to watch.

He needs to make the all-star game at least one time.

Jackson needs to let him rest in the second quarter or something. I think he disappears because he's exhausted from playing the entire game. Last night he played all 58 minutes, his legs were shot at the end of the game.
