With all this coming out with his 4th MVP award, how good does the Heat do? Yes they still have Bosh, Wade, ect. but not ever getting LeBron...how would they be?

I think fighting for 8 seed possibly. The role players the Heat have are better because they feed off of LeBron and there games are turned up. Now if you take LeBron away, they are average at best(outside of Wade and Bosh).

Record 42-40

They'd still be pretty decent IMO. Not near the record they have. But they'd amount to a top 4 seed especially this year.

would still be a top 5 team in the East. Probably 4th or 5th.

You can't be serious. They would be a 4 or 5 seed at worst. Wade and Bosh are plenty to make them competitive in the East. Not to mention they could afford some better role players without Lebron's salary.

Do you not remember that Wade led them to a title in 2006 or that he lead the league in scoring in 2009?

I think they're probably the 4/5 seed this year, still above Atlanta and Chicago but behind NY and Indiana for sure, probably behind the Nets

Not only DWade, but Bosh was top 5 PER before joining the Heat if I remember correctly.

4th or 5th seed at worse. plenty of talent on that roster compared to the rest of the East.

Exactly. Assuming Lebron isn't playing for another East team in this scenario, it isn't a stretch to think Miami might still be #1.

I guess the additon of Bosh would have bumped the Heat up to a 5-7 seed. I want to say the year before LeBron/Bosh got there they were an 8 seed...so yeah 5-7 seed sounds about right

not to mention other role players they've picked up who are contributing:

Chalmers
Ray Allen
Battier
Mike Miller
Birdman

Is that the year Wade was injured? I think they were a 4 or 5 seed the year before.

ETA: they were a 5 seed the year before Bosh and Lebron. That was when the Magic were doing well with Dwight and the Celtics weren't geriatric and Lebron was with Cleveland.

That's about where I would peg them.

yep

Bosh and Wade + several good players they could get with money saved on not having Lebron.

They would be really good.
