When I was still running track in high school, I ran nine miles a day 6 days a week. 3 before school, about 4 at practice and another 2 before bed. Events were the 400, 800, 1600, 3200 and the pole vault. Yay for being 6'3 and 155-160 lbs.

I cook every night and probably spend 30 on each meal. Eat leftovers the next day for lunch.
Fresh fruits and veggies during the day for snacks.

For example: 1lb amberjack fillet and 1lb salmon fillet is $25 at whole foods. That's dinner and lunch the next day.

Sounds like 8:30-9:00ish, I usually do the lake.

I was told that a person that works at the company I intern with finished this past Boston Marathon somewhere around the 3 hr mark if you want to feel like shite. She's a woman too.

I mean I don't want to turn this into a pissing contest but I'm a pretty good fisherman, too. I just eat more than I have time to catch.

Chicken at all Albertsons or Wally Worlds are $1.99/lb when not on sale. $1.49/lb when on sale. A weeks worth of protein for $10...and that is if you eat an entire pound of meat in a day.

Beans + rice could feed you for an entire week - $3.00-$4.00

I'm sorry, but if i only ate chicken and rice and maybe a vegetable for every meal, I'd shoot myself in the face.

Why does healthy = no variety? There is a large variety of healthy foods out there.

Eating healthy is only cheaper if you're eating the same shite every single day so you can buy it in bulk. Otherwise, in my personal experience, eating healthy is more expensive than eating unhealthy.

Albiet worth it.

Well you can't really compare someone who eats a different junk meal every day to someone who buys a chicken and eats it little by little each night.

Obviously that's cheaper. They're sacrificing variety and eating the same item for every meal.

I could buy a stick of butter and some american cheese and bread and make a greasy grilled cheese sandwich every meal for a week too.. But I can't eat the same thing twice in a row much less every day.

I like to cook in bulk and then freeze in individual baggies/tupperware, so I can have a ready-made meal at home whenever I'm low on funds/time to go get something or cook a new meal.
