Bistro Byronz..............if you wanna get laid.
If not just go to any of the other suggested restaurants.

agreed...this was the case when I was in BR as well...the forced interaction works out very well...
Nothing better than putting a nice piece of steak, cut up, in a boiling bath to cook it...

Digiulio Brothers on Perkins

Casual. - Roberto's in st Gabriel, of course it is about a twenty minute drive, so that could be a plus or a minus for a first date
Gino's is great, but very romantic and may be a bit much for the first date
Any of the nice sushi places would give you something to talk about on the first date
Masion LaCour is awesome, pricey but unique
If you really want to go all out, go to latils landing at Houma's house...probably a bit much for a first date though

Melting Pot is more of a serious 2nd/3rd date place. You need something a little looser on a first date.
Posted on 5/5/13 at 9:27 pm to GREENHEAD22
are people really suggesting melting pot?
OP, do not bring your date there. the other suggestions of Gino's and DiGiulio Brothers are way better. its not up for debate.
Bistro Byronz is another good date place. I would almost suggest this over the other two because its a little more casual. Gino's can be really quiet and fancy for a first date and Digiulios can get a little loud because its really small.
Melting Pot blows arse. Dont waste your money unless you just go there to eat cheese and drink wine

Steak and chicken in boiling broth. Boring food, but women like it because they think they are cooking.
ETA: if you are younger than 25 you think the Melting Pot is fine dining.

Don't know. Never been and really don't have the desire to go.

Fleur de Lis. Keep it casual. Set the bar low for prices and save yourself future bucks by curbing her expectations.

Lighten up Francis..........it was a joke.
My suggestion is Bistro Byronz. I took a girl there once on a first date and now she is my wife.............

this is a great suggestion. if your date doesnt like this place's atmosphere and food, dont ask her out again.
