Well, it is 80 degrees in BR today, not a cloud in the sky. Decided to cut the grass, and had to let a buddy borrow my mower because his wasn't working.

Just a reminder to:
Change plugs
New air filter
Change oil on 4-cycle
Make sure mix is good on 2-cycle
Sharpen blades
Hose down mower and clean inside of deck with a flat scraper
Clean weedeater of old grass

DO NOT frickING RUN ETHANOL!!

I don't care who says it is okay to run ethanol. I fixed probably 25 engines already this year and 20 of them were ethanol-related problems. Just don't do it

Seafoam hasn't ever done anything positive for my small engines, but have at it

Simple stuff right......but everyone forgets to do it. All of that should cost under $20 to do. Get on it so you won't feel like a toolbag asking the OB why your mower doesn't work.

*feel free to add anything*

Bought a new mower last year and have been good about using ethanol free gas. Bought a 4 stroke weed eater and love it.

Does that weedeater spin up anywhere near as fast as a 2-stroke one?

I bought a new mower. I like the Honda engine but I don't like the front wheel drive.
My old mower had rear wheel which seems to be better.

My lawnmower is named "Marvin" no last name. He's from Mexico.

It's okay, I know that Mich Ultra is a little strong for some people. Go drink some apple juice sweetie

I didn't name him. Maybe he's like Irish mexican or something. He's brown and smells like beans and weed.

Weed or weeds?

What kind of self-respecting Mexican is named Marvin? Might as well start calling him Guadalupe or something.

Stihl's stratified scavenge 2 strokes are the tits. Very fuel efficient.

I would also like to remind folks that a 50:1 fuel to oil ratio is NOT half and half. I've had that 3 times in my shop this spring.

Stihl is all I buy. Their shite last forever and if it does give you issues, they fix it. I bought a bunch of equipment when I was in highschool and doing yards. 24 years later still using the same stuff with no issues.

I am still using a Stihl blower that has gone under water during two hurricanes in the past 10yrs. Best saws money can buy.

Haven't ever used their weedeaters though. I. Always thought of them as heavy and underpowered. Maybe I was just messing with the wrong ones, but I stick to Echo and Shindawa

I like mine, but it's all I've ever used other than a cheap arse Poulan. I got the backpack blower. Hedge trimmers, chainsaw, pole saw, and the weedeater.

***Full Disclosure**** I am a Stihl Dealer and service tech so I am most definitely prejudiced.

If you haven't picked up a trimmer in the last few years, I encourage you to stop by your local dealer and compare. A lot of new improvements in the last two seasons. Echo and Shindawa are fine lines of equipment as well. I have nothing bad to say about them.

I am not a dealer nor do I recieve any financial gifts from Stihl. Only a loyal customer and fan of their badass, dependable equipment. Merica!!!

I haven't messed with one in years. My Echo went through the same hurricanes and is still running strong. Even if I had money to buy a spanking new one, I'd still stick with old blue. He's my boy.

If it did break, I'd be weed eating with scissors.
