Too much alcohol makes me throw up. Not sure if thats an allergy or just a cash money motto.

I'm very thankful I'm not allergic to shell fish.

I'm sensitive to MSG, it gives me a spaced out, hungover feeling.

Wife allergic to milk. It's pretty rough, she gets flu like symptoms with aches and pains and her eyes swell nearly shut and puffy. Luckily we live in a world of Almond, Soy, and Coconut substitutes. She lusts for stinky cheeses but cannot have them.

I've had really intense itchy throat and esophagus reactions to pecans, but not to any other nuts. I've never been officially tested, but I just avoid them.

Dark beer and red wine mess up my sinuses enough to make it not worth it to drink them. Not sure if that is an allergy or not.

Wow, two pages and no one deathly allergic to peanuts. Seems like there's a kid in every class today that can't eat peanuts.

Also seems like food allergies are more prevalent in kids today than before. I have heard that breastfeeding is supposed to help kids avoid food allergies because they're not exposed to something they aren't ready for. Science is mixed, though.

Same. I have a tendency to get really congested when drinking and my hands will turn red.

I have been drinking consistently going on 7 years now so it's obviously not a major issue It also takes care of itself after the first couple beers.

Watermelon

As a kid every time I would eat it I would develop a rash anywhere the juice came in contact with my skin, nothing significant just a small blisters, so I stopped eating water melon for years, in my early twenties I started eating it again with no problems until about 4-5 years ago it started again but a little different, now when I eat watermelon my fingertips will become very dry and cracked and get to the point of bleeding because the skin is so cracked, once I figured out what it was I just use latex gloves and have no problems....talked to my doctor, said he had never heard of anything like that but allergies can do weird things

I'm lactose intolerant, if that counts.

The real kicker for me is the s/o who is allergic to any and all forms of artificial sweeteners. If she has them her lips and tongue begin to swell, and if she has too much it could cause her throat to also swell. Crazy stuff. She has to be careful about any sugar-free products, chewing gums, toothpastes...it's shocking how prevalent it is.

Because parents are keeping their kids in bubbles.

I'm allergic to Mahi Mahi. Love the fish but I break out in a rash on both fore arms. Itches like hell. My fish monger said it was the extremely high iodine content in the Mahi Mahi.

I'm deathly allergic to shellfish; we're talking throat closing up trip to the ER allergic. I wasn't allergic until my sophomore year of college. I went to a crawfish boil, had a slight reaction afterwards, and the reactions have gotten progressively worse since then.

Shellfish is pretty easy to avoid, so the allergy really isn't that big a deal. The biggest issue I've had is with restaurants that use shellfish in dishes and don't put it in the name or description of the dish.

I recently went to a restaurant that puts shrimp in their spinach and artichoke dip. I took a few bites before biting into something that was obviously shrimp. It would have been nice if they added a 'shrimp' or 'seafood' to the name of the dish.

Nope, no allergies whatsoever and I'm pretty thankful of it. I'm glad I don't have to worry about what a dish is made with.

Bumped to add a few things to my list of unofficial allergies...

Again, I haven't been tested/diagnosed, but I get a bad headache and feel nauseous when I eat or drink things with aspartame or sucralose in them. Most of the time I can taste the artificial sweeteners in stuff, but occasionally I find them in the list of ingredients after I've eaten something (like the cocoa-dusted Emerald almonds I had last year).

Also, fresh pineapple, especially if I peel it--my mouth gets tingly, a bit swollen, and kind of burns. It doesn't happen if I eat canned pineapple though. I read somewhere a long time ago that fresh pineapple has some type of enzyme present which may be the trigger.

Of all things I have a mild allergy to corn. It takes quite a bit to break out in hives and get itchy but found out when I was younger and always got stomach cramps and mosquito bite looking hives.
