looking to grill up some tonight and have a few different buffalo / hot wing sauce ready to go? Question do I grill them naked and throw it into a container after to get the sauce or is it a baste as you go with the sauce?

Probably too late to help you out but I always marinate the wings in a buttermilk/hotsauce marinade then grill them naked. I spin the wings in sauce once they are cooked.
Always turns out good for me.

1. marinate in LA red dot hot sauce and whatever other seasonings you'd like
2. grill/smoke them naked
3. Immediately toss in your buffalo sauce of choice and serve
ETA: I don't think saucing them while they cook would hurt unless your sauce has a lot of sugar in it. Wouldn't want that to burn

so put some olive oil on the wings with some seasoning and rub.
put them on the grill around 250 for about 30 minutes
turned up the heat to about 350 for another 10 minutes. Flipped then cooked for another 10
Wings came out close to perfect some crisp in the skin and the meat juicy as ever
probably should have gotten a bit more creative on the sauce. used the crystal wing sauce, zeas thai rib sauce, and a jamaican jerk i got at sandals in jamaica.
did alot better job preheating the coals in the chimney this time, it made a world of difference.
