Billick was on CBS Sports radio earlier this morning when he was asked this question by one of the hosts. His answer was really surprising. He said that he probably would have said Jim Brown even though he is a RB due to his overall dominance until he saw extended footage of another player recently. It shocked him how good this player was even though he played so long ago. The player that he would select is Otto Graham. Billick mentioned how impressed he was with Graham on tape. He also said that Paul Brown didn't win a single playoff game without Graham which really spoke volumes about the kind of impact that he had on his team. Personally, I would have thought he would have gone with Joe Montana or Peyton Manning or even Johnny Unitas. It surprised me that he went with Otto Graham over all of them.

Comparing a guy who played in the 40s/50s to modern players is ridiculous.

If he was playing in today's game with today's athletes I would not pick Brown. Or any running back really

And yet teams aren't getting into bidding wars to get Billick back on the sidelines.

Crazy world.

It would have to be an awesome, smart, durable QB.

Peyton, Unitas, Montana, etc.

I'm surprised Billick has nostalgia for players he watched as a kid. Though Otto is a forgotten great, so its nice for him to get some pub.

John Elway...any era.

If the rest of my team sucked - he could carry them...rocket arm - very athletic - would always be our weapon to keep us in games.

If our system sucked - he could carry us...no matter the era.

Elway definitely makes the 3-5 person short list and probably would be my choice.

No doubt LT revolutionized the game. I'd probably take him 1 overall

No way LT goes over Ray Lewis IMO. Lewis was just as good and played at that level much longer.
