I like Bledsoe, i do. But I really think it would be a huge mistake to give up real assets for him plus give him a huge contract.

The guy can't shoot and he isn't a distributor. Almost every one of his positives come on the defensive end.

I understand the defensive angle in wanting him, but the extent to which a PG's defense actually changes the team has been really exaggerated imo. How much a team actually NEEDS an awesome defender at PG has been exaggerated as well.

I mean, what does it say about Bledsoe and CPs defense when they're getting torched by Conley? Point is, nobody's stopping the better PGs in the league. Nobody. The only reason Tony Allen is even in the league is for his defense and CP bent him over down the stretch.

Its just not worth it to me for Bledsoe to come here and be a minus on offense and do a slightly better job guarding elite PGs that nobody in the league can actually stop anyway.

With that said, i'd probably gamble on Bledsoe before I gave any money to Jennings. We know exactly who he is.

You would think Robin Lopez kicked MM's dog or something the way he is always suggesting we trade him. I like Lopez and his contract. I like Bledsoe but would not trade a ton for him. As far as Jennings, I would pass on that prima donna. He is a bad shooter/chucker and very inefficient.

It might be exaggerated, but it's still valuable.

What is extremely valuable and not exaggerated are his elite steals and blocks numbers--2.5 SPG and 1.3 BPG as a starter this season (Two six steal games as starter)...That's turnovers and fast break opportunities.

I disagree. He's improved in all shooting categories and should continue to do so.

45% FG on the season, improvement each season...only 41% as starter--a few terrible nights bringing it down though. He's not a chucker. I think he'll average more PPG with a higher percentage than Vasquez as a starter.

40% 3PT on the season, improvement each season...44% as starter.

80% FT on the season, improvement each season.

...I like Vasquez, but Bledsoe is better at everything but passing with a few elite skills.

I don't know. He went for 5.3 APG as starter playing mostly with Jordan/Griffin/Green/Butler...Griffin missed a few games in that stretch and was replaced by Odom. With Gordon, Davis, and in particular, Anderson, that assist number could very well go up (see Vasquez). Outside of Paul, Rondo, Vasquez, and Holiday, #5-10 average 7.3-7.7 APG.

Vasquez is a better passer than Bledsoe, no doubt, but I think Bledsoe can be solid there.

There's not gonna be much lockdown D on good players in the NBA, but that doesn't mean his D won't be much better than others' efforts (especially with all those forced turnovers).

You can't give up too much for him, of course. Only do it if the price is right. He's very valuable though, imo, especially with Dell and Monty clamoring for perimeter D. He's tops in the league there.

...I don't think he's a minus on offense. 15 PPG will put him in the top ten among PGs. He's very capable of that.

He's a better rebounder than Vasquez and will actually be able to initiate a fast break when he grabs one--will make this team more aggressive/faster-paced/more transition oriented which we need with the youth and for Davis and Anderson.

I think he can be similar to Rondo in a lot of ways...not as many assists, but younger, cheaper, and a better shooter.

Bledsoe/Gordon/Anderson/Davis would be awesome for next season (if Gordon can get his shite together).
