1. Rex

2. You can cook on your gas grill, but not much past that.

3. You've been camping before.. for one night. You also killed a squirrel with your BB gun as a child, but buried it. When launching the boat, you just hold the rope.

4. You actually skinned and cooked the squirrel in your neighbors back yard. You have since become a gun owner, but you don't take it out, cept maybe to the range.
And you can back thr trailer down the ramp, but only if nobody is waiting for you to finish.

5. You're the range pro. Proficient shooter, but you only get to the woods when your BnL invites you. You did change a flat yesterday. May tackle brakes and rotors soon. You launch your own boat without a partner. Avid fisherman

6. You actually change your own brakes, rotors, oil, rotations. You hunt several times a year, but you haven't killed a deer in 3 years. You wouldn't say you're a great hunter, but you aren't a total greenhorn. Salt/fresh water angler. Can actually go out and catch limits of fish.

7. You are a good hunter. You have a little lease, you mainly hunt one box stand and you take your only high powered rifle. Fish most every day whether its the lake, marsh, gulf, pond. Wife stays pissed about the bass pro bill

8. You hunt with your rifle only, but you you hunt from lock ons, climbers etc. And always bring a bag of corn when you're scouting, or hunt over a feeder. Dabbled in fishing tournaments, never really got close to winning

9. You can build a fire in moist conditions, you bow hunt only because rifle is boring, you can tie a trot line, skin a catfish, shoot deer free range with no feed, stay at the camp for long periods of time, hunt at least 15+ times a year. Actually won fishing tournaments, where fishing shirts and costas most days, just in case, solid tan in march.

10. Bow/Longbow hunter, fully self sufficient with bare essential with no shelter, never even seen a game camera, build fire with no matches/lighter, pretty much only eat wild game, hunt every second time will allow, unmarried or unhappily married during the winter. Have done every fishing: spear, jugging, trotting, noodling, bow, salt, fresh, deepsea. (Mylsuhat)

between 8 and 9, higher if your scale focused more on fishing

Great thread idea

Sad to say 5.5

might want to refine the scale though

Damn, the revision dropped me down a point

This isn't a very good scale. I meet a few of the criteria for every rank from 5 to 10.

But there was very little about fishing in the choices. NL

(This is the only thing I do not do..I rarely deer hunt. it's mostly squirrels and ducks.), you can tie a trot line slip knot, skin a catfish almost as good as my paw paw, shoot deer free range with no feed when I do hunt deer, it's only in a WMA..so no feed, stay at the camp for long periods of time 5+ days works?, hunt at least 15+ times a year

Same here. Interesting scale, just too many variables. I'd say I'd have to fall in around a 7 if I averaged all the traits I have. I wonder how many Rex's we have here.

well according to your ranking, I'm a 9, but I in no way consider myself a 9 on the outdoorsman scale

This. So that probably makes me a 7.5 avg.
