Has anyone installed a holster mount under their steering column?

Thinking about doing this for my Tahoe, or maybe even getting one the mounts to the side of the center console. TIA

I actually have the mount that Diesel posted above, its very easy to mount, sturdy, and does exactly what I want it to do. Would recommend to anyone where legal.

The bold part is much safer and how I carry in the car when the gun is not on my waist. Under the steering column will greatly increase your chances of shooting yourself under stress. Less movement by the console, and much smoother especially if you are a righty.

I do not see why it would be illegal anywhere carrying in a vehicle is legal.

When not in my waist my Fobus fits right next to my seat between the console and my seat right where the seatbelt base connects to the belt. The holster slides in and squeezes in there while the pistol can be drawn with my right, ala; POS gunslinger style. A bottle of water sits there when my Beretta/Fobus mates do not reside there.
