If we ever do put up a statue of Les, it will end up being tacky. Our donors always want their names up bigger and brighter then the greats that are being honored. I can see it now, the Les Miles statue sponsored by Raisin' Canes. Les will be depicted eating a box combo standing next to a trusty yellow lab.

If anything, there needs to be a Skip statue. Pete Maravich? Billy Cannon? I think Les has a few more years and a championship before a statue will be considered.

I am as big of a Les fan as anyone but I don't think anyone should get a statue until they have passed away. I actually think its some kind of law that you cannot name public buildings in LA after people who are still alive.

Les is great and deserves a statue but if the Joe Pa incident taught us anything we need to hold off on the praise until we are sure he isnt a slime ball in the shadows.

If you did it for Les, you also have to have statues of Wingard, Deitzel and The Midget, as well.
