I paid to see the series with Bama. I was shocked at the bush league production. There was one camera and it did okay on close ups but was out of focus for the playing field. There was no scoreboard, balls, strikes, etc. There was NO audio between innings and the announcers sounded like beggars on most every close call on balls/strikes or in the field. I am SOOO thankful for the Geaux Zone. It doesn't matter where they send the feed it will be terrible under any transmission. CBS should be ashamed to even affiliate itself with that horrible production.

100% agree.

Now sit back and wait for the following:

Hawthorne sucks.
Hanagriff sucks.
Hawthorne and Hanagriff together suck.
Patrick Wright sucks.
Kevin Ford sucks.
Geaux Zone video sucked for me once for like 5 seconds, so since it isn't perfect, it sucks.
Fire Javi.

I am a big fan of the Geaux Zone, but the production quality is only high because of the large HD screen in left field. If not for that, I wonder how many cameras LSU would dedicate for their online viewers.

Alabama, from what I can tell, has no video screen for baseball so only one camera was used and the quality was terrible.

I've been critical of Hawthorne for years for his negativity and his general broadcast style, but WOW...

Bama's play-by-play guy makes Jim look and sound like Vin Scully in his prime.

It's hard to say which away production has been the worst. There are some pretty sorry baseball production setups around the SEC.

Yeah I watch with a friend for free, too. Worst excuse for a sports broadcast ever. Can't believe bama can't do better. One camera angle (behind home plate), no graphics, no instant replay. How embarrassing for them.

that program will improve, as the team improves & it will because their coach knows what you can do in college baseball
there where various promotions going on doing the game
some teams(schools) do not have a clue- florida!
i do not like cox-not the baseball games, but their service for normal cable - but as long as uverse does not do local programming, we have to deal with it unless the sec comes up with the means to televise more games

I vote for Mizzou. One camera behind the net that was set to autofocus. So the net was perfectly in focus but you couldn't tell what was happening on the field half the time. Bama had the same problem. These people never heard of having a camera in the outfield so you don't have to look through the net?

The production was certainly bad with only one low quality camera, no scoreboard, etc. but I didn't mind the broadcasters. They were very pro-bama but they certainly gave LSU players some praise and respect.

Favorite call was when the HR went foul on Sunday. "dag nabit, please throw that pitch again!"

Makes you really appreciate the greatness of Geaux Zone!

Followed by 10 seconds of silence and then "UGGGHHHHH" and 10 seconds of more silence. Dude was a joker.

This, I thought they were actually pretty good. And certainly gave LSU a lot of praise during the Friday night game. I am also gratefully to be able to catch the Tigers on TV so I am not going to go out of my way to look for something negative.

I caught that too, pretty funny.

Overall I thought they were pretty good, pro Bama but not negative to LSU at all.
