Yeah I'm enjoying it a lot and I'm not a huge brett drinker. $15 at Steins.. not terrible. What other Anchorage do you recommend?

Bitter monk is GREAT!

Keep in mind Orval and <<<Rayon Vert in the brett beer category though.

^ What he said.

The saison is also excellent. The white IPA is pretty good, but is nowhere near the Belgian IPA.

Bitter monk is fantastic and very complex. Worth the price IMO.

Yea, I didn't find a big difference in the experience. It's definitely enjoyable from the glass.

Besides the hop resin I don't see why you can't pour this into a glass. Tasted fantastic to me.

Damn, I'd hop the fence if I weren't going to the spring game tomorrow. What are you cooking up?

Just a Strawberry Honey blonde. It's meant for a pig roast in Jackson in a few weeks. Was a VERY good beer last year.

interesting, because I enjoy Orval and have had many of them, but don't find any similarities between Orval and this one.

What is that fruity shite? You don't like beer flavored beer?

Sound like a good pairing with pork.

I need to try The Tide And Its Takers again. I drank it after a Heady and it seemed bland compared, but I guess that is to be expected...

It's got a nice deep flavor I think. Light but substantial, if that makes sense.

btw, been meaning to ask you.. do you know the owners of Stir? CB and PR?

FBD:

While eating crash hot potatoes. The last one. we tore through them. They never made it on a plate. Just kept grabbing them off the skillet as I walked by.

Brettanomyces is just as varied as Saccharomyces as far as flavor profiles, if not more. There are dozens of variations that produce very different results, especially because Brett can metabolize more things than Sacch.

Nope, met one of them though the first time we went. Nice guy. Wish he could put out better food though.

doesn't look like any crash hot potato I've ever made

RC 2bl IPA is solid .. I like all of their beers, especially conducive to sitting at the pool all day.

Whiteout Wit is awful.

Their Saison (Love Buzz) is fantastic.
