When Steve Gleason walked out for the coin toss earlier this season. I had just heard about him being diagnosed. Seeing how skinny he was and that he needed assistance walking...I started bawling almost immediately.

I haven't ever cried but I was close after the Mizzou lost in the Big 12 Championship a few years ago, knocking us out of the National Championship... and the Norfolk State loss last year.

I am sure I would have cried/teared up when Derrick Thomas died had I not been 4 when it happened.

I know I will cry if chad jones ever steps on an nfl field. I knew chad from when I worked on the football team and he was a great guy. Always really liked him. I was crushed when I heard about his accident

Didn't you work for Bones and String?

I cried when I heard Coach Boss died, especially because he helped me get my job at SMS and helped me so much.

I did not cry, but after the Vikings loss in 2009, I could not sleep. I just stared blankly at the ceiling and was sick to my stomach.

I've never come close to tears while watching an actual sporting event. Watching that kid with cancer score in Nebraska's spring game is about as emotional as I'll get. I had goosebumps all over my body watching him run.

Now I would be lying if I said I haven't teared up during a e:60, real sports, etc.

The last at bat for Chipper Jones, it hit at that moment that "this really is it".

Curtis Martin's HOF speech, he just laid everything out there.

And it's not really "sports" to most, but Mick Foley's HOF video package. Cried as a kid when he kayfabe retired the 1st time as well.

Most of those are fairly recent, I'm sure there are more...

I was pretty down after my last game in high school.

sat on the bus for about 15 minutes with all my pads still on (not my helmet though lol) when we got back to the field house... missed what the coach and the captains had to say to the rest of the team.

I really didn't care that we lost and didn't advance in the playoffs... because up until then.. you always had the next game to look forward to.

frick it.. I'm gonna go crank some Springsteen and put "Glory Days" on repeat
