I feel sorry for them already

Scroll down for Players of the week

C Michael Marietta, Central Arkansas: Marietta had an incredible game against Grambling State as he went 7-for-7 at the plate with 3 homers, 3 doubles and a school record 11 RBI and 6 runs scored. Among his trio of homers, he belted a grand slam in the seventh and shattered the school record of 12 total bases, finishing with 20 and added a stolen base for good measure

20 total bases in one game?!

That nine less than Ross has all year

That may never be duplicated

ETA: I take that back... from the NCAA record book

ETA2: McDougall was 7 for 7 and hit 6 straight HRs

Central Arkansas can beat anybody on any given day, but Grambling State is bad. It's mid-week. Young guys need PT. So, it may not be the blowout we are all expecting.

Did Grambling get any votes in the TD.com College Baseball poll this week?

Mcdougall was a beast. One of the best . FSU should have won a title with him

they lost a game at Miss. St. 2-0. so that's impressive. but then they lost 2 games to Southern, and Southern is the worse team I've ever seen on any baseball diamond. so there ya go.

You obviously haven't been able to make it to any New York Tech games this year.

catchers don't typically steal a lot of bases, either

I really wish he would care more recently. It looked like he was breaking out of his funk then had some awful ABs this last weekend where it looked like he didn't even give a shite before the 1st pitch.

He looked to be pressing a little this weekend but keep in mind that was the best pitching staff LSU will see this year. They made a lot of Tiger hitters look bad (Rhymes 0-5 on Friday, Katz 0 RBI on the weekend).

Hey man, I'm a pretty big Astro fan myself...but the current state of that organization is absolutely pathetic with no light shining on the horizon.

There was a pretty clear demeanor difference to me in the AB. Take for instance Jones getting up there with nobody on, 2 out and swinging at 2 pitches that were essentially wild and striking out in 3 pitches. He was clearly not caring nor trying at that point.

Just dont understand why he can never put it together at the plate. There is absolutely no way in hell a MLB team touches him in the 1st round.
