Just thinking that this would make a pretty good outdoor channel television show.... almost like a combination of the OB and the F&D board.

Half the show focuses on the hunt and the other half focuses on the preparation/cooking. I am always looking to try something different when I travel to different places.

With that being said, that weird "wildlife" have you tasted before. I provided my list to get it started...whatcha got beyond that?

for me
*kinda strange*
snake
conch
mountain oysters
emu
escargot
fried mullet sperm sack
sand hill crane
'possum
eel

*not so strange*
goat
rabbit
squirrel
moose
turtle
elk
buffalo
ducks/geese
frogs
gator
deer

side note...has anyone "knowingly" ate rat, dog or cat? Most of us probably have "unknowingly" ate it before but I wondering if anyone has ever made the decision (obviously while traveling abroad) to dine on any of those?

Guinea pig. Was quite good. Tasted like rabbit.

Was fed some weird shite in SE Asia, but I was usually too drunk to remember what it was.

And who knows what was really in that bowl of soup at the local Noodle-n-Poodle restaurant in Houston.

I'm pretty sure when you get to the pearly gates that one of the questions St. Peter asks you is if you have ever had any kind of sperm in your mouth. Just sayin.

Its not that uncommon on the East Coast of FL (for country folk of course)...

I was at a business outing fishing trip where we had a wild game cook out the night before. They were frying some up and I thought for sure that they were phucking with me trying to get me to eat it....little did they know, I was born and raised in Louisiana...where we eat anything. After I watched a few of them eat it I gave it a try. Oddly enough, it was pretty damn good! I mean, I wouldnt track it down for the next bite but if I were hanging out at the fish camp and someone was frying some up...I would damn sure chow down on 3-4 of them with some cold beer.

yeh...it is almost shocking to me that if you get outside of Louisiana and ask the average Joe that you have a meeting with if he has ever tasted any of the "not so strange" list....they would look at you like you have 3 eyes.

It would be interesting to see a study on the topic but I bet that 80% of the U.S. population has never tasted anything but Beef, pork, fish, mutton, chicken/turkey.

Don't get me wrong I'll eat damn near anything and have eaten damn near everything.

There was a show that was on, briefly, similar to what you mentioned.
