Dog eye infection - what am I dealing with?

Alright OB dog owners and vets, what does my boykin have on her eye/lid?
It showed up two days ago and has gotten worse each day. Does she need to see a vet or will she get over it shortly?

I would put a little neosporin on it and watch it for a couple of days...if it continues to get worse, bring her in...

dogs not too happy about having eye Aids and being locked up in the kennel Is every other vet ridiculously expensive? Mine would take care of that for $25 and the cost of meds. He also tells me to use people meds when I can

Looks like a stye. For humans and my basset, you just put warm compresses on it, along with eye drops. Also, clean it with a mild soap. My basset gets them pretty frequently.

I friend went blind in one eye by not going to the doc right of way. If you can afford a Boykin you can afford a dr visit. The dogs sight is not something that should be gambled.
