Just finished season 2 on Hulu & it's a great show.

I remembered reading about Chevy leaving the show this current season and had a question.

Am I understanding correctly that the big issue was Chevy wasn't happy with how racist his character was and said "why not just have him call Troy a N*****?"

Just seems werid that he could be protesting protraying a racist on screen and be labeled that off camera.

He's been a douche the whole time.

However I do agree with him that they basically painted themselves in a corner with his character.

I thought the big issue was that Chase is an insane egomaniac who thinks TV work is beneath him and made it known he was only sinking to that level because he needed the money, and eventually stormed off pouting like Chevy Chase always does.

he didn't understand the humor or point of the show.

He was a dick on set.

Him and the show's creator Dan Harmon got in a pissing contest.

Chevy won (because NBC is retarded) and Harmon got fired, but the show was already renewed for this season. The show is a shell of its former self now so it's probably going to be cancelled and everyone will end up losing because Chevy Chase is an arse.

Pretty sure that puppet episode Thursday was the last produced episode of the season (there will be a few more episodes aired but due to the nature of the puppets they waited until the end of the season to make the episode). That would explain why Chevy wasn't in any of the study group scenes. Apparently he recorded his voiceover after quitting as part of his agreement for leaving the show.

So, no real effect on this season and doesn't look like it's coming back again.

But yeah, Chevy's universally considered an arse. Medium talent.
