Post your 2013 top 8 desired Draftees

Since we are almost a lock for a top 5 odds slot in the upcoming draft lottery, I wanted to see everyone's top 8 selection for the pelicans (can't be worse than 8th by rules of the lottery). Included some random thought on each:
1. Smart-in case Bledsoe/Jennings/Rivers? falls through.
2. Noel-weakened ACL makes me nervous. Block city?
3. Porter Jr.-be nice to solidify our SF spot after recent history.
4. Oladipo-crazy intangibles on top of production/improvement.
5. Ben M.-PASSIVE but freakishly athletic and smooth.
*(Talent Drop Off IMHO)*
6. Zeller (PF)-defends well (P&R) except @ the rim (AD).
7. Shabazz-wish he was taller/could cure offensive droughts.
8. Anthony Bennett-best low post scorer in draft. Injury history.

1Mclemore
2Porter
3Burke
4Smart
5Saric/6'10 sf croatia
6Isias austin
7Muhamad
8Olidipo
The only bad word you can tag Mclemore with is his passiveness. To his defense, those damned guards at Kansas shut him out a lot. i noticed during the year snd witnessed in person at the sweet 16! That will change when he gets mil$ to do what he does best. When the rest of his body catches up with his broad shoulders, he will be hell to deal with. i think of him as d-wade+westbrook.
Saric is the most underrated and best triggerman in this draft. Austin's all around game is a good bit better than Noel's and his ball skills facing the rim is better than Noel and AD!

Care to elaborate there armchair gm?
McLemore is a stud. His potential is off the charts. If we could somehow snag him, I would go on a 4 day fap fest

I agree he may be fantastic at the next level, but "mackemore" is not a combination of Wade and Westbrook. He's more of a Ray Allen. And he disappears far too often. I was much more impressed with a number of other players in this draft.

Assuming we trade away the cancer that is Eric Gordon....
1) Ben McLemore, SG, Kansas
2) Marcus Smart, PG, OK St.
3) Glenn Robinson III, SF, Michigan
4) Nerlens Noel, C, Kentucky
5) Otto Porter, SF, Georgetown
6) Trey Burke, PG, Michigan
7) Alex Len, C, Maryland
8) Victor Oladipo, SG, Indiana
Not really a fan of Shabazz, Zeller, or Bennett (too small to be a PF, too slow to be a SF)

Smart
Oladipo
Porter
Burke
Shabazz
Bennett
I think shabazz will potentially be a decent scorer, just can't take his attitude. Much better choices available. I personally love mclemore.
If we got mclemore and traded gordon for Gallo. .. I see us as a boston big 3 reincarnation instantly with better potential... ok gallo = p34 a bit of a stretch but othrr 2 are right there

This is where you spew your mcNamara propaganda on why Burke sux for the hornets?

1. Smart: does a lot of things well, and the things he isn't as good at yet he can improve
2. McLemore: I like this guy. Great athlete, solid shooter, and I'm not too worried about the passiveness
3. Porter: Possibly the best fit for the team b/c he is an all around player who would fill the team's biggest hole. Would be valuable on both sides of the ball
I would be ecstatic with any of those three guys
4. Noel: Tons of potential, but I just don't think he is a good fit for the team. That being said it would be mighty tough to pass on him here b/c he would be the BPA here if he is available
5. Oladipo: Great athlete with the right attitude. Still needs some time to develop his game
6. Burke: I think he would make his teammates better. Put on a heck of a show in the tourney. I'm a little concerned about his size.
I'd be okay with any of the picks I have listed 3-6
7. Shabazz: He is going to be able to score, but IMO he is just too one-dimensional and I worry about his attitude/personality/character
8. Alex Len: Will be on okay player in a position that is hard to fill. Would be kind of underwhelming, but I do think he would contribute to the team.

1. Mclemore
2. Noel
3. Smart
4. Porter
Just guessing at this point:
5. Burke
6. GRIII
7. Oladipo
8. Shabazz
Don't want Bennett, Zeller, or Len, and really after the top 4 it's a toss up. If we pick 1 or 2 (not gonna happen, but still), I am pretty confident we end up with either Mclemore or Noel so long as we are comfortable in Noel's recovery.

I agree with most of this, but I'd put Len over Shabazz. There are just so many red flags about Shabazz at this point (fake age to dominate younger teens/consistency/ego) that I'd hesitate a LOT if we got stuck with him as the option.
I'm probably higher on Len than anyone else, but I don't think he's a great draft pick. I think he could develop into a solid center by year 3, but he'll take some time to adjust.

Yea man I'm furious that you didn't copy and paste ESPN. Furious.
Ben mackemore is a combination of Wade and Westbrook? Explain this.

well that settles it
What part of Mclemore's game most reminds your of Westbrook and Wade?
Hes a shooter, with a slight ability to drive
Wade and Westbrook are drivers, with a slight ability to shoot.
McLemore is most compared to Ray Allen... I dont believe he will be as good a shooter as Ray, and see him falling in bewteen Allen and J.R Smith. Scorer who can shoot well from outside, but can also get to the rim on occasions, with ability to "send it in, Jerome"...

That's the comparison I've seen the most. But I agree, I think J.R. Smith is probably a better comparison.
