Haven't been this season, although it's my favorite boiled crawfish anywhere. Main reason is that the prices have increased dramatically over the past 5 years or so, and crawfish size has decreased. Oh how I long for the days before the Internet, when only a very limited group of people knew about the place.

No jackass, he lives in New Orleans , where I was born and lived for 35 years.

And he would make that drive from New Orleans every weekend for those crawfish

I'll give an amen to that. I used to go to Hawk's a couple times a year when I lived in Lafayette. I'll never forget the first time going.....It gets spooky out there on a dark night. I like how they give you that huge potato instead of the smaller ones. Damn good crawfish.

I live exactly 1 mile from Hawks. People are actually building nice houses out here these days.

I've been twice this year. Best crawfish hands down that I have ever had. That includes all the people who say they can do it better than anyone else in their backyard.
Nice sizes last time about a week ago. Still 29.99 for 5 lbs as usual.
Got the extra spicy put on the gloves and went to town.
I have never seen such beautiful yellow crawfish fat. I tell people all the time it lives up to the hype

Ps. Get there when they open unless you want a long wait

Please tell me you are joking. Taproom is nothing more than a pimple on Hawk's arse.
