they will definitely match. They can't lose him and wallace.

They are very tight against the cap, and if they restucture it could further frick up their future cap situation.
And if they feel confident about their WR drafting/developmental skills (which they should), they could decide to just take the pick and draft a WR for cheaper than Sanders would cost
BITCH DONT KILL MY VIBE

By tendering Sanders at the third-round level and leaving themselves with under $3 million in cap room, the Steelers are at risk of the rare restricted free agent loss. They'll have five days to match the offer and may be able to, but they'd have to do more restructuring (likely of Troy Polamalu) that'd further bludgeon their cap situation down the line. The Patriots, meanwhile, are intent on aggressively remaking their receiver corps after moving on from Wes Welker and Brandon Lloyd. If the Steelers don't match, New England will hand over a third-round pick (No. 91 overall) in this month's draft and likely try to sign Sanders -- who turned 26 in March -- to a long-term deal. Patriots also signed Julian Edleman to a 1 year contract

Sanders was a 3rd round pick. If the Steelers don't match the offer sheet, they would get a 3rd round pick from NE.
They should take the pick. Sanders wasn't exactly great last season (see the 2nd Baltimore game...). They still have Antonio Brown, who was a SIXTH round draft selection and Cotchery. They'll get back Heath Miller in the latter part of the season.
They'll be OKAY if they stay healthy (which is a big if, but if they do stay healthy, they have enough for one more SB run around that defense).

Considering how good Colbert has been in the draft, a 3rd round pick isn't bad at all.

ESPN’s Ed Werder reported Wednesday that he expects the Steelers to match the Patriots’ offer sheet to Sanders, keeping the wide receiver in the fold.

lol wut? I don't care how well the Steelers draft at WR, Sanders is bound to explode this year.

He was supposed to explode last year, and fell flat on his face (again injured at times, but still)

You're kidding right? He had a good year for being the 3 WR in a Todd Haley offense. Or are you defining his entire season based on that one fumble in Baltimore?
