Hornets Expected To Shop EG Per Rotoworld

The Hornets will "likely remain open" to trading Eric Gordon after the season, sources told the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

Gordon upset Hornets fans in the offseason when he said his heart was in Phoenix and that is where he wanted to sign, and with his relationship on thin ice with Monty Williams, the Hornets will shop him in the offseason to see what he may be able to bring back. It's not going to be easy considering Gordon is owed $45 million over the next three seasons and has had chronic injury issues in his brief career.

No way we get anything big here. Whatever deal we get might be akin to the B-Diddy/Speedy Claxton trade.

Exactly. Again, it says they are "open" to the idea. Grain of salt.

Yeah, the front office is likely "open" to trade any Hornet besides AD.

Of course they're "open" to it. He clearly hasn't lived up to his contract or expectations. That being said its only year one and he showed some improvement towards the end of the year, they aren't going to move him for pennies on the dollar yet just bc Monty doesn't like him. Monty is gonna have alot less say after this season
