Pernitti corrected the problem by stopping it and being a better person than any of us here by giving the guy a second chance. Warranted or not, the behavior did stop.

That's my point, it's not journalism or sports reporting. It's selective reporting for the purposes of sensationalizing it so casual fans can be attracted to watch because of the controversial nature of it. A sports media company should have not have a bearing on who gets fired whatsoever.

Yes. Entertainment companies that own TV channels want to maximize eyeballs in order to maximize ad revenue.
But most entertainment companies don't tell everyone everyday that they are actually a news organization.

Seems fitting. Might not have been a "60 Minute hit piece " that spanned years but I dont see where the term is off?
Did they sit on the story? Did they have the tape in december? Lets start with what we know to be true instead of hearsay, conjecture and opinion.

Here come the conspiracy theorists.
Its all a set up. They digitally altered what the coach did and the BBall is actually CGI. Matter of fact the whole thing took place on a ESPN set in Bristol.

ESPN can definitely report this. IN NOVEMBER when the story broke. They should have reported what evidence they had, procurred what Rutgers AD was very open about and reported what the university was doing in repsonse ie suspension and fine. Not bring in everyone who ever touched a basketball to comment on and have their personalities make outlandish statements like Goulic.
Report it as it happens and investigate at that moment. Waiting so long to really push when the eyes are on the sport for something positive like the tournament is sensationalism.

Based off of what physical evidence? What I seriously do not know and want to know is when did the video surface?

This is from USA today on Dec 13 after Rutgers had done an investigation and rendered a decision. ESPN at that moment should have investigated it and within a few weeks rendered their reporting on it.
Not here in April 4 months later. Thats the whole point.
