IMHO... it looks as if GB is as open as it gets as it relates to the schools he's interested in. This is the first time I've heard him speak on camera and he seems to have a good understanding of the recruiting process and has set realistic goals for himself as far as playing time. I sure hope distance becomes a major factor for GB and he decides to play ball in Tiger Stadium but as GB said, he has to do what's best for him and I can respect that.

He's doing things the right and smart way.

Just hope if he does pick another school, he does it quickly so LSU can find a replacement

This is my first time seeing him on camera and I must say he seems like a very mature, intelligent kid with a good head on his shoulders. I really hope he ends up in BR.

And it's not a school that we have to play every year, although that is unlikely, given his favorites.

I agree. I also respect the fact Garrett has been open about his desire to look around and see what else is out there.

There is a long way to go with all these kids and according to S&S, LSU is in a great spot will all of them. For all the negative commentary on Cam Robinson's trip to Bama this weekend, please remember he speaks very high of LSU as well and made the drive back to Baton Rouge for the 1st Junior Day just a few weeks after attending the Boys from the Boot. This act shows great interest in the home team. People need to chill with these elite 14 kids. They are going to take trips and show interest in other schools. It will be battles this cycle, but I like where the Tigers stand with the ones they want at this point.

Sounds like a very intelligent kid who will handle his recruitment appropriately.

well said....Louisiana is, obviously, loaded in '14 and every quality major program knows it and is targeting these kids. there are going to be some major disappointments but the national recruiting footprint that we now enjoy should help to mitigate any losses.

get better.

As much as I would love seeing him play in the P&G, I can honestly say after watching that interview, that I will pull for him no matter where he goes. Wildman, you have done a wonderful job raising a mature young man. I wish you guys the best of luck with this decision.

Mr. and Mrs. Wildman have done a great job raising Wildman Jr. and yes, we need to allow these kids some leeway to get good information so that they can make a very important decision in their lives!

Lsu recruit or not: What an outstanding interview! I wish more kids handled the recruiting process with as much class. He really seems to have a good head on his shoulders, and is mindful that his situation and decision are unique to him, and will affect the course of his life greatly.
He is taking authority over his decision, and is meticulous about it. Unfortunately, there are far too many kids without a good support system to keep them this grounded. Some kids immediately bite on the shiniest hook, and turn their decision into a circus.
Good work, wildman. These types of kids usually just dont spring out of the ground; kudos for playing a very important role in his maturity process!

This guy is a must get!! He is extremely mature for his age. (Must have great parents!)

Mark my words...this guy will be a leader on the field. Les has to make him a priority!

I hope we get him but I'm not feeling optimistic for whatever reason.
