There might be things people CAN do better than restaurants but I've always liked restaurant versions of things better. I hate homemade burgers, homemade red beans, etc

What is there to hate about a homemade burger, especially compared to a restaurant built burger? If you can't build a better burger at home then sounds like you're doing it wrong.
Same with red beans. Nothing like a big pot of red beans and smoked sausage coming off your own stove.

I would say mostly grilled food items
I woud agree with this. Or at least just as good. Including steaks. Having said that, I never go to "steakhouses" like Ruth's Cris or 1800 Prime. In fact, I rarely order grilled chicken or steaks anymore because I know it won't be as good as the one I can make at home.

I can cook eggs a lot better than most short order places also.

My salmon kicks the shite out of anything in a restaurant also.

I'm sure Eric Ripert can't cook salmon as well as you. The responses in this thread are fricking awesome.

I'm a good cook. I'm not a chef, but I make a lot of things that are outstanding, but not better than ANY restaurant out there. That's just stupid.

I'm sure you can get a good look at a steak by sticking your head up a bull's arse.

Probably too dark to get a good look. I'd still buy the brakepads without a guarantee on the box.

Traditional "Cajun" food i.e.. Gumbo, étouffée, bisque, all rice & gravies, jambalaya, fried seafood (as good or better). Of course I'm not talking about the small town mom &pop places that know how to cook Cajun food in the traditional manner, those ol' gals that have been cooking in the same pot at the same place for 30+ years know how to bring it. I generally stay away from restaurants that advertise "Cajun" dishes in big cities-especially those outside of Acadiana, or worse, outside of Louisiana. Also, I generally don't order foods that I cook at home on a regular basis, that's why I go out to eat, something new & different.

There are some decent ones here in Atlanta, but then again, I've never had a meal in Acadiana.

I could kick a fancy smancy restaurant chef's fat chef arse in a wild game cooking contest. Not because I'm that good. It is more on account of it's illegal for them to chef up wild game at their restaurant.

My parents went on some auction hunt a few years back. Besh was the chef for the weekend. He cooked all kinds of wild game at the hunting club.

Balls, you can cook that stuff really well, but this thread is another example of the Board going MSB 40 time and OT annual salary full retard.
