The Wire, The Sopranos, or Boardwalk Empire

I've been thinking about starting these shows for a long time...I just realized they're both available on HBOGO, which makes them easier to start.
...have heard a lot of rave reviews about The Wire lately.
Are all three shows worth watching?
What order should I watch them in?

I would actually suggest:
Boardwalk Empire (catch up before next season)
The Sopranos
The Wire
This way, you won't be disappointed in BE or The Sopranos after watching The Wire.

It wouldn't be a big deal, but I think watching those two first will make you appreciate BE and Sopranos more, as well as make you realize how great The Wire is when it's better than those two shows.

The Wire is excellent. One of the GOAT.
Haven't fully watched the Sopranos as of yet just bits and pieces but am planning to watch it in its entirety.
Boardwalk Empire just plain blew. Watched the first few episodes, could not get into it at all.

The Wire is the best of the three without a doubt. The Sopranos is probably in my top 5 TV series.
I really enjoy Boardwalk Empire. This season was pretty damn good. Gyp was such a great character.

I agree with waiting on The Wire. It's the best of the 3 and one of the best ever. The others will suffer if you watch The Wire first.

i think i'm gonna go with the wire...i get what y'all are saying about saving the best for last, but it's hard to not pick the best one first.
