2007 masters,, anybody remember why scores were so high?

Zach Johnson won the tournament witha 1over 289.
Since 2000, the Second highest winner was 7 under... With the rest majority being double digit under par.

Just wondering what was happening that year.
Course played harder? Weather? I don't remember.

wikipedia says it was windy and temperatures dipped into the 40s

Yep it was the weather. I remember it looked more like the British Open than the Masters that year...
