You can get 780s for 419 at EVGA's B stock.
Your getting 800 more cores and higher bandwidth they are easily worth the price.

Thanks for the info. I've been so long without a decent gaming PC, playing in 1440 might make me poop myself. Didn't know if it would really be worth it, but I'll look into those $419 780's,. Just did my taxes so hopefully I'll be ordering all my parts by the end of the week.

Ignorance is bliss! I am "perfectly happy" with 1440p right now. Because I haven't seen 4k gaming in person yet.
