The only thing about that dog is that it'd shed a lot. But it looks awesome

I rescued a dog before. His name was Chief. I couldn't really handle him- he needed a yard. So I found him a home.

This time I'll get a smaller less rowdy dog

i adopted my dad's dog from a grocery store parking lot in St. Louis. he was a beagle. he's so old now. poor jake.

called my dad up and said, "daddy, i got you a present."

"it better not be a dog."

"ohhh ummm just come home then."

they fell in love immediately.

re: LNST - voodoo zapps edition

We have gotten lucky and ours doesn't bark a whole lot. The doorbell is a recent thing that she has a problem with, not sure what suddenly triggered that.

We can usually get her to bark if we start messing with her, but random stuff won't set her off. One of the only dogs I have had that doesn't give a shite about bad weather.

I'm also concerned about the dog being home alone by itself all day. Chief didnt like that and he hated the kennel. I couldn't stand to see him like that. So depressed.

He is a lab/pit mix

not being a bitch.... imo that's being lazy. you've got to train them to harness their energy.

but i think big dogs can be inside dogs. you just have to walk them and exercise them. i have an 80lbs beast of love who was in a 2 bedroom apartment for 2 years. i just would take her to the dog park A LOT.

Kinda sounds like how my dad was. He didn't want I dog but I know he loves Leo

My mom wants another dog now that Leo is getting old but now sure how my dad feels. But now that me and all my siblings are about moved out I'm sure they would love a dog around the house to keep them company

I'd love a dog like this as well

Even though everyone hates pits, they can be great dogs especially if they're not 100% pit

I worked a weird schedule and it was hard to give it structure. I don't think it was fair to the dog. That's another concern of mine.

We went to the dog park 3-4 times a week but I had trouble finding times to train it. I was going to send it off to get trained but figured that wasn't the issue. I was the problem.

Ours does pretty good for being by itself or 10-12 hours a day sometimes. The wife is home more now since she is in school, but seldom did ours act out.

I don't know, anyone I've known that has a husky loves it. I think it'd be a great dog

Though I do love the Portuguese Water Dog that my parents have. They're a good size, loyal, and don't shed and I'd love that

Even the Obamas have one..

He is much happier with the other dogs and a big back yard. His name is now Diesel.

Poor Chief.

we've had jake since for maybe 15+ years now. that's crazy. he was just a baby pup in a cardboard box.

my mom has a lab and a shih-tzu. i have tried to love that mini mop of cuteness. she's just so dumb. the lab is cool. went through a weird humping phase though. i fell victim one christmas holiday.

i can appreciate someone who recognizes that. dogs are easy as long as you establish dominance and show affection. reward systems always are better. i would do tons of research on training and see which style suits you best.

eta: brb guys... gotta check on my tamogachi.

oh yeah, I know someone in Tampa that continues to get them even though they run. She loves her dog. I was just making sure you knew that they love to go, and go....and go...

re: LNST - voodoo zapps edition

My dog is 12 now

He just had to have a surgery and the vets were surprised by how young he acted. It sucks knowing that he may only have a couple of years left, and we've certainly noticed his aging, but I think he may be one of those dogs that hangs around for a while

He's been part of my childhood though. We got him when I was 8, and he's been a great dog. I would love to get another dog like him to have

my wife loves dressing the beagle in something. The look on the beagle's face is quite to the contrary.

Watching this Dog Whisperer show just floors me. These people keep dogs for years that bite them lol I don't understand this. These people are scared of their dog.
