I'm talking this incredible talent that is really going to be special.

I'm a Cubs fan, and I have to say that I probably don't have anything like that to look forward to. However, the farm system is getting really strong and I really think they have something special in SS Javy Baez. OF Jorge Soler could be the next Yoenis Cespedes, too, but the Dodgers' Yasiel Puig might beat him to the bigs.

That's setting the bar pretty damn high. Bundy, Profar, and Taveras are the only prospects in that category.

I would think you would be excited about Castro and Rizzo. Castro is only 23 years old.

Javier Baez is going to be an absolute stud when he makes it. He had 6 homeruns this Spring. Yes, the stats will say 4, but he hit 2 against Japan in an exhibition game. Think about the infield when he comes up. Slide Castro to third. Castro, Baez, Barney and Rizzo.

Soler looks like he could potentially be really good when he is ready to come up.

I'm very pumped for Rizzo and Castro, but they are already up. Castro is damn near a three year veteran already.

I watched Baez's swings this Spring, and that dude can rake. I don't know that we'll see Castro at 3B. I'd expect Castro to move to 2B when Baez gets called up.

Castro's arm is way too strong to be playing second base plus the Cubs have a Gold Glove second baseman. Most things I have been hearing and reading talk about moving him to third when the time comes. Plus, Castro will begin to hit for more power in the near future and will be able to handle the offensive demands of playing third base. I don't know that Vitters is going to cut it.

Regardless, I'm ready for Opening Day on Monday.

Also, I will be at the game in Houston tomorrow night. Got my company's tickets. 4 seats 10 rows behind the Astros dugout.

That's exactly why I think Barney gets traded at some point. His value will never be higher just coming off a Gold Glove 2012.

But Baez is a year or so away. We'll cross that bridge when we get there. What worries me about Castro at 3B is his inconsistent defense, especially with throws. He struggles making throws from SS at times, but it's not for lack of armstrength.

The Cubs do have a black hole at third right now, so I guess it could be far, far worse (like, right now) than having Castro at third.
