you could try xbmc with navi x. basically you can stream anything. I don't download or pirate stuff for a number of reasons.

As others have said, I don't miss having cable one bit. I still have internet through my cable provider and if I scan for channels on my tv with the same connection the internet is on I can get local channels and some spanish and home shopping channels like one above poster mentioned. I haven't used it all that much though. Honestly, I used to just mindlessly channel surf and I thought I would miss it but I don't.

that's what I was gonna use the mohu leaf or HD homerun for as early cuyler stated. Primarily will use it to catch HD broadcasts of football season and would be worth the 30-80 dollar one time investment.
