I've been searching for 30 years for a hot sauce that is low on vinegar and high on tomato. I've tried at least 100 different jars. Now I have found the perfect fit for chips.

quote:Vinegar? I didn't even know that was in store bought salsa. Make your own...it's easy and tastes much better.

When the veggies start coming in during the summer months a homemade salsa is definitely in order.

Is that available in Shreveport or Bossier City?

Making your own is very easy and much better than store bought

Where can you get that?
I had found a great salsa after searching for awhile, Ana's Salsa
However I moved out of TX and cannot get it anymore

I believe so as of recent years. You can find it at your local win dixie or albertsons.
Shits off the chain.
I'm not a big fan of really chunky salsa, so this stuff is perfect for me.

THIS.
Throw in blender:
2 cans stewed tomatoes
1 jalapeno (I seed about half of it)
1 bunch cilantro to taste
2 cloves garlic
green onion
salt
pepper
lime juice
It definitely takes a few tries to get the right quantaties, but once you do, there's nothing better. And it takes about 5-10 minutes.

I've done that. It's like fried chicken. Too much trouble to do it at home.
