"If all the alumni and former players want to bitch and moan, fine then, i'm glad Howland is gone, get outta there if they're not going to appreciate you"

It's not solely about appreciation.
If Bilas read the LA Times the last few years or lived in LA he'd know it was more than just W/L - obviously, considering UCLA won the Pac 12.
There's some entitlement...like the LA Times headline: '"Underachieving' Bruins are Pac-12 champions"
But this year he wasn't even close to filling the new Pauley Pavillion - fans have been turned off by his teams the last few years.
If Bilas read the LA Times the last few years or lived in LA he'd know it was more than just W/L - obviously, considering UCLA won the Pac 12.

I'll agree with that but the LA Times was definitely trying to get Howland fired.
